Tadalafil belongs to the group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors, primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It works by relaxing the muscles in the penis, thereby allowing for increased blood flow to essential organs, including the penis, causing an erection.
Tadalafil may be prescribed for other uses; specifically, for treating erectile dysfunction or pulmonary hypertension. For more information, please consult a healthcare professional.
Tadalafil should be taken on an as-needed basis as directed by your doctor. You may take tadalafil 1 hour before or 2 hours after breakfast to improve sexual function. Tadalafil may take several hours to start working. You should finish the full course of treatment as directed by your doctor.
Caution: tadalafil may cause dizziness, especially when standing up. Do not drive or do hazardous activities until you know how you can prevent this from occurring.
Do not take tadalafil if you have ever had an allergic reaction to tadalafil, or any other ingredients in tadalafil.
Tadalafil may make your erection go soft. You should not touch a faceful of alcohol or tobacco while taking tadalafil. Before taking tadalafil, tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, especially nitrates (used for chest pain).
Before you start taking tadalafil, inform your doctor about any of the following:

Did you know there are two forms of Cialis?
A prescription medication that qualifies under the brand name Cialis® can have up to four warnings for each form.
The first warning discusses side effects from Cialis. The second discusses allergic reactions from Cialis. These reactions are more severe and may include difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
The third warning discusses sexual side effects. Cialis can cause problems for men who have sex with men (MSM).
The fourth warning discusses psychological issues that can lead to thoughts of harming or killing someone. These issues may include feelings of guilt, unreality, or feelings of masculinity.
These side effects are also more common in people with pre-existing conditions, such as diabetes or high blood pressure.
Report these side effects to your doctor when you use Cialis, especially if you have new or worsening chest pain.
If you experience any unusual results from these side effects, contact your doctor immediately.

Pharmacies in the UK are flooded with Viagra and other medicines for erectile dysfunction.
The National Pharmacy Alliance said the online pharmacies that were operating illegally were “furnished with an extensive range of prescription drugs, including Viagra”.
“The supply of these drugs is restricted and cannot be guaranteed. This includes prescription drugs from other countries,” the group said in a statement.
The pharmacist said that the online pharmacies were selling medicines for “unprecedented” quantities of drugs, including Viagra and Cialis.
The National Pharmacy Alliance said: “Pharmacists are trained to provide the most cost-effective medications for the NHS.
“This is not the first time pharmacies have seized counterfeit Viagra.
“We strongly recommend that anyone who has ordered and taken counterfeit Viagra, or any other medication, within three months from their last order to be offered a prescription, be offered a discount,” the pharmacy said.
